(More customer reviews) I love the fact that this uses LEDs and common (AAA) batteries. This is very bright - plenty of light for anything I might want to do. The fact that it has a Red LED, to preserve night vision, is icing on the cake. I ordered one the first time around, then went back and ordered several more to be used as gifts. (My nephew is going to love it!)

Update: Subtract 1 star because I found it turned on in the pocket of my backpack. (It appears that the slider switch moves a bit too easily. I may try something like a rubber band wrapped around the light to try to keep the switch from moving.)

On the other hand, add back 1/2 star due to the fact that the light swivels up and down so you can direct the light where you need it.

Still comes out at 4.5 stars for me.

(More customer reviews)I just recently got one of these but it seems like a solid, small flashlight that would function well in most household situations or in your car.The light is certainly bright enough for all but the most extreme situations. It won't throw a beam a half-mile like some of the more expensive flashlights, but for most situations the average person would do better buying two or three of these rather than owning one of the more expensive and more powerful flashlights.

(More customer reviews)This is the best light I have purchased for a night dive. It is half the price and puts out just as much as the big lights. Be careful where and how much you pay for the batteries. Intova batteries are the best if you can get them around 5.00 a pair. The batteries will last at least 5 night dives. The narrow beam Intove light is the best for day dive, batteries will last 8 dives. These lights are taking the diving world by storm and at dive shops, they want double the price. I love these lights, the are small, good on batteries and put out the best light, ambiant I think it;s called. Anyway, you won't be disappointed.

But the current price of $6750 for 1230 watts calculates out to $5.49.This puts them in the range the previous reviewer himself said was the price we should be expecting.So I don't see these as out of the ball park.The only way I know to do a lot better is to do it yourself - start with individual cells and solder them together, then figure out a mounting etc.Not something everyone wants to do.

Energizer 2-In-1 Light Review

(More customer reviews)I was disappointed with this flashlight. I bought it for a friend who is losing her eyesight. When the description said "area light", I didn't realize it meant only the area around the flashlight!(A flashlight I already had, has an 'area light' that lights up the room.) Also, the description says "pack of two" -- I only received one light. It's of no value to my friend because it's not any better than the cheaper lights she already has.
